Breaking the Cycle
Incarceration disrupts entire families, and one of the worst-affected stakeholders are the children
of incarcerated parents. Their education is disrupted, they grow up in the absence of parental love
and guidance, and often get trapped in the same cycle of poverty and crime. Our efforts to break
this intergenerational cycle primarily focus on continued education, whether in the form of
facilitating school admissions or providing vocational and educational workshops.
