Students for Collaborative Change

Host

Stayed on stage for 12 hours hosting a livestream to raise awareness about mental, physical, and digital wellness. We raised $140,000 and used it to set up therapy centres in hostels across Kota, Rajasthan to reduce student suicides.

JPIS MUN

Secretary General, Chairperson, Best Delegate

From a nervous freshman winning my first Best Delegate, to chairing committees, and eventually serving as Secretary-General — this conference has shaped my voice, my leadership, and some of my favorite memories.

Debate Club

President

My favorite part of high school, no doubt. I negotiated weekly 2-hour club sessions instead of the typical 1 hour/week on the timetable (and kept them going through breaks under ‘Summer w/ Council’). I was often more stressed for my juniors’ tournaments than they were. Nothing matched the pride of cheering when three of my mentees—mere 8th graders—made the final round of national selections with me. It was also an absolute pleasure to lead them to the Harvard World Schools Tournament (giving them feedback on their cases in the cold Boston wind below!)

Social Impact Incubator

Founder

Leading an online brainstorming session with grades 6-8 over the summer! Over the years, we’ve built successful projects such as an annual Cyclothon to raise funds for children with cerebral palsy, and disaster relief in conflict-stricken Manipur.

Spark

Core Team

Spark is an annual event held at JPIS, aimed at giving a platform to unusual talents and hobbies. As an organizer, I had the chance of being wildly creative: designing escape rooms modelled after the Alcatraz prison break, and putting together real life Among Us (with pool noodles and intellectual twists). With 3 sponsors or 5, Spark remains the most cherished event at JPIS and beyond. In the past 3 editions we've surpassed $30,000 in cumulative revenue and over 1,200 unique (and happy) participants.
